A. C. S. R. -: (Aluminium Conductors Galvanised steel reinforced)- used extensively as both ground and phase conductors because of its mechanical strength to weight ratio and good current carrying capacity.

A. A. A. C. -: (All Aluminium Alloy Conductors)- developed as a replacement for the high strength A.C.S.R. conductors. Aluminium gives comparable and in some instances improved qualities over both A.C.S.R. and A.A.C. conductors. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance quality, it is preferably installed on the seacoast and other areas, which are severely impacted by corrosion problems.
